Community Mothers Program
What is the Community Mothers Program?
The Community Mothers Program is a free home visiting service across the City of Cockburn and City of Kwinana developed to support and encourage parents on their parenting journey.
The program works by matching mums with a ‘community mother’ who we feel would be a great fit for them and their family. They visit them at home on a monthly basis and will walk side-by-side with them in their parenting journey, offering confidential and non-judgemental support. We also assist in connecting them to their local community, child health programs, parenting services and community groups as required.
The program is aimed at mothers, or families with children under five years of age. They may be socially isolated, have post-natal depression, no family support or none of those things and just wish to have someone to talk to. Whatever the circumstances we are here to create a safe and caring space for them.
Volunteering to be a Community Mother
The Connecting Community for Kids community mother’s program is a unique volunteering opportunity for women who are passionate about improving the well-being of new mothers in the local community. Our volunteers are mothers, or experienced care givers, who are willing to offer non-judgemental and confidential support to new mothers on a monthly basis.

We are currently seeking referrals for local mums who would like to be supported and encouraged on their parenting journey, by being matched with one of our amazing Community Mums.
