The Kwinana Education, Care, and Family Network is extending an invitation to teachers and early childhood educators to join our Professional Learning Workshop.

This workshop, facilitated by three presenters, aims to offer valuable information, resources, and professional development opportunities. It’s designed to assist families with children facing developmental concerns, delays, or disabilities on their journey to school, along with their educators.

There will be three presenters on the day:

Kerrie Cunning, Wanslea ECA Coordinator
Kerrie will be talking about the Success at School Project where families engaged with the Early Childhood Approach have identified a need to build their capacity to support their child’s transition to school and maintain ongoing attendance.

Emma Maroni, CDS Speech Pathologist
Information will be provided on speech and language strategies, and
how / when to refer children.

Tracy Hart, DOE School Psychologist
Responding to dysregulation, defiance and inattention can be challenging in education settings. We will map out a simple model to problem solve and plan strategies when responding to challenging behaviours.
